The Chilean passport remains one of the most powerful in the world in 2024. It climbed to 16th place and added two new countries that can be entered without a visa, bringing the total number of destinations to 177.

The Henley Passport Index, recognized as the authoritative ranking of all passports worldwide, is based on the number of destinations that passport holders can access without requiring a visa.

For more than a decade, the Chilean passport has occupied the leading position in Latin America and has remained in the top 20 worldwide, which is led by France, Germany, Singapore, Spain, Italy and Japan, whose citizens can access 194 countries without a visa or with a visa on arrival.
