Chilean scientists propose a treatment against Alzheimer’s with gold nanoparticles

A Chilean research team has developed a system for the early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s with gold nanoparticles, which detects and counteracts the development of amyloid plaques, which are associated with the appearance of this disease.

The study, published this week in the journal Biomaterials Science, was developed by the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Chile.
