Not a neighborhood without a photo" contest: Meet the winning photographs

After a successful call for entries that gathered close to a thousand entries from all parts of Chile, the 2nd edition of the "Not a neighborhood without a photo" photo contest already has its winners. This contest was organized with the aim of documenting the essence and diversity of neighborhoods throughout Chile, as well as contributing to their international visibility through Wikipedia, the largest encyclopedia on the Internet.

The contest was organized by Wikimedia Chile and Fundación Imagen de Chile, as part of a collaboration commitment between both institutions to reach global audiences with verified and relevant content about Chile, in addition to positioning our country as a leader in digital innovation and access to knowledge. The contest also had the support of Adicto Chile and the sponsorship of the store Creado en Chile.

The jury was composed of: Rossana Dresdner, Executive Director of Imagen de Chile, Carlos Figueroa, partner of Wikimedia Chile and editor of Wikimedia Commons, Rodrigo Guendelman, journalist and creator of the digital media Santiago Adicto and Chile Adicto; who evaluated hundreds of images uploaded to the digital platform Wikimedia Commons between December 2024 and January 2025, based on criteria of creativity, composition, quality and unpublished content.
