The history of Antü Waiki: Mapuche roots embroidered on silk

Antü Waiki is not just a brand, it is a living story born from the memory, the family and the identity of a people that resists and flourishes: the Mapuche people.

The name Antü Waiki arises as a direct tribute to our family history. Its root comes from the Antiguay surname, which has accompanied the women of our family for generations, marking a lineage that today is transformed into a creative force. In Mapudungun, Antü means "sun" and Waiki is inspired by the union, the bond and the heritage that connects those of us who share this origin. Together, these words become a beacon: a name that illuminates and honors the memory of our ancestors.

Antü Waiki is formed by Mapuche women who deeply believe in the power of textile art as a vehicle of memory and cultural expression. Through our silk scarves, we seek to reinterpret and give new life to symbols, graphics and ancestral knowledge that have been passed down from generation to generation. Each piece is more than an accessory: it is a bridge between the ancestral and the contemporary, between the roots and the world.

The brand arises from a deep need: to give visibility and value to the Mapuche legacy from a respectful and modern point of view. We want our creations to travel around the world carrying with them a piece of our history, our worldview and the voice of women who have silently resisted from their trades and their culture.

Today, Antü Waiki represents the union of tradition and design, of heritage and future. But, above all, it represents a collective path where each scarf tells a story and each story illuminates a new horizon.

Because to wear Antü Waiki is to wear on your skin a gesture of memory, identity and Mapuche pride.
