Here we answer the most common questions about the application process, the license, the protocol and the rules that ensure a correct application of the Chile Brand.

It is the free authorization to use the Chile Brand in products, services, institutions and events, in order to promote the value of origin both in the domestic market and abroad. This authorization is formalized through the License of Use of the Chile Brand.

Any natural or legal person, public or private, national or foreign, who considers that their product, service, institution or event contributes to the image of Chile.

No. The use of the Chile Brand is completely free of charge.

The process is simple and consists of 3 steps:

STEP 1: Registration and access

Go to www.marcachile.cl and fill out the form.

Upon completion, you will receive a username and password to access the platform.

STEP 2: Company information

  • Complete the form with the requested data.
  • Accepts the License and the Protocol of Use.

You will receive a welcome email confirming your incorporation to the program.

STEP 3: Application of the Chile Brand

  • You will receive the official Marca Chile logos and the User's Manual.
  • You will have to present graphic examples of application in labels, packaging, website, social media, advertising or events.

Imagen de Chile will follow up to ensure consistent and coherent use.

  1. Product or service of Chilean origin.
  2. Companies that contribute to the Country Image.
  3. Compliance with the regulatory and legal framework in force.
  4. At least 2 years of experience.

  • Institutional or corporate: For institutional material of companies or private organizations (stationery, web, facilities, advertising, etc.).
  • Public institutions: For ministries, government agencies and other state bodies.
  • Products and services: For containers, labels, packaging, advertising material, point-of-sale and promotional campaigns.

Yes. As a general rule, the Chile Trademark is only authorized for products or services of Chilean origin, considering:

  • Nature of the products or services.
  • Domestic component in materials, processes or labor.
  • Ownership of the entity.

In cases of export, the Certificate of Origin will be a key background. The location criterion may also be applied if the product or service was designed or developed in Chile.

Yes, the same license may include several trademarks, categories of use (products, services or institutional) and different SKUs. This must be disclosed in the application.

Yes, the program was designed to link any product or service, including tourism, to the country of origin and contribute to its national and international positioning.

Each applicant is responsible for designing and submitting the mock-ups with the application of the Chile Brand, following the guidelines of the Manual of Use.

The License of Use is valid for a period of 1 year, renewable automatically as long as the parties do not indicate otherwise.

You can apply it in packaging, labels, corporate material, web pages, fairs and digital communication pieces. You must always follow the guidelines of the Chile Brand Manual.

No. The logo must be used exclusively in its official versions. It is forbidden to alter colors, proportions, typography or add effects.

You must respect the security zones and minimum sizes defined in the manual. This ensures visibility and correct reading on any support.

Files are delivered in different formats (PNG, JPG, AI, PDF) to ensure a correct application both in print and digital media.

Only in the official versions allowed (red, white or black). Any other variation requires express authorization from Imagen de Chile.

Yes, all first applications (e.g. packaging, stands or campaigns) must be sent to Imagen de Chile for review and validation.

Incorrect use may result in the revocation of the license and the obligation to correct or remove the parts that do not comply with the protocol.
